DJI’s latest smartphone gimbal, the Osmo Mobile 8, is here—and it’s packed with upgrades for creators who want more control, more flexibility, and more cinematic polish. The standout feature? Full 360° horizontal pan rotation, allowing for seamless subject tracking without mechanical stops.
The included Multifunctional Module adds gesture control, pet and human tracking, fill lighting with eight brightness levels and adjustable colour temperature. It also doubles as a receiver for DJI’s wireless mic lineup, making it ideal for vloggers and streamers.
You can now shoot in your phone’s native camera app thanks to Apple DockKit support. With support for native camera apps and over 200 iOS apps, plus AI-powered editing in the DJI Mimo app, the Osmo Mobile 8 is one of the most versatile gimbals DJI has ever released.
The Osmo Mobile 8’s magnetic clamp securely holds smartphones up to 3.3 inches wide and includes a mounting point for an optional counterweight—ideal for bulkier devices. It supports payloads up to 10.6 ounces (300 grams), easily accommodating flagship models like the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which comes in at just over 8 ounces and under 3.1 inches wide. Despite its robust capabilities, the gimbal remains lightweight at just 13.1 ounces (370 grams), making it easy to carry and handle for extended shoots.
Other highlights include a built-in extension rod, a more secure magnetic phone mount, and Apple DockKit support for native tracking in iOS camera apps. With up to 10 hours of battery life and USB-C phone charging.
